The inaugural match against the Topeka Westerns showcased the determination and talent of the Bull Dozers. Despite the fierce competition, the outcome did not favor our newfound heroes, resulting in a disheartening defeat. However, this setback was not the end but rather a stepping stone that shaped the future of baseball in Wichita. The vibrant dreams of the Bull Dozers would soon pave the way for a new legacy, one that would rise from the ashes of failure—enter the Wichita Red Stockings, a phoenix born from the spirit of resilience.
